🐁 Mazda Android Auto Not Working
In the meantime, the Internet came to the rescue, and someone online has discovered a solution that more and more people try out to confirm it indeed does the magic. The whole thing comes down to
2020 Touring, Galaxy S8+ with Android 9.0 and latest version of Android Auto. Everything I've read says this should now work and I've triple checked all of the settings that are usually pointed to as possible problems (developer options, wireless projection, etc). AA works fine with a cable but it never lights up as available without the cable.
The reel mechanism on the cable works great and I'll keep it in the rear console for charging purposes etc, but it does NOT work for Android Auto. I bought a new sig CX-5 this weekend. Trying to troubleshoot an android auto problem. My phone is a Note 20 Ultra. -- Up to date No updates indicated on the Mazda (checked)
5. Make the necessary settings as desired. Warning: If, after turning off the smartphone or exiting AA (turned off the car, closed the emulator, removed the USB), the resolution of the smartphone did not return to its original state (the recovery settings, failure, smartphone features, etc. were set incorrectly, etc.), you need go to Settings → Reset settings and select the WM SIZE RESET option.

So let’s dive in and get your Android Auto back on track.
It’s awkward. It’s awkward in the Mazda-designed UX that was specifically designed to work with this setup, and it’s even more awkward when using something like Android Auto or Apple CarPlay – interfaces whose designs are based on phone interfaces that were really only meant to be manipulated via a touchscreen.
Enabling touch for the native AA will not work - it`s unkown how to do it. Several people tried a lot. If you do the downgrade-thing, touch can be enabled for AIO AA and will work. But I would recommend to keep the new hub and native AA (more usb-charging-power at the marked AA/CP port - up to 2.1A instead of 0.5A) and native AA is more stable.
4a. Make sure USB debugging is enabled on your Android device. 4b. Connect Android device to Cars USB hub (with phone icon). Set USB mode to MTP when prompted on your Android device. unpair your Android BT with your MZD unit. uninstall AIO AA app from Android device.. Be sure to clear all traces of the app (clear app data and app cache).
